From the harbour to the cliff

Four houses across the coast and the old town, run by one team. The coffee at the harbour is poured at six; the cliff path is walked at four; the cellar opens at six in the evening.

    Harbour coffee room

    At Old Port House, the coffee room opens at six. The first pastries come up from the kitchen behind, the window seat looks east across the harbour wall, and the fishing boats are already out.

  2. 14:00

    River terrace lunch

    By two, the river terrace at Rivermere House is in the sun. The lunch menu is short — three courses, mostly local — and the terrace seats twenty-four in summer.

  3. 18:00

    Cliff path & cellar

    The cliff path is best at four. By six, the cellar at Lisford House opens: eight seats at the counter, small plates, and a short list of low-intervention wines.
